Just wondering, if there was consensus best time to buy a tent? It's been a while since I was in the market for a new tent, and with the likes of Go Outdoors having discounts all year round, I'm not sure there is such a thing as end of season sales any more?

No more trips planned for 2018, so no rush - but wanted to know when it was best to start looking.

I think there's normally a camping/caravan show at the NEC in February where there's some good deals to be had.

As above really, most of the manufacturers release new models for the start of the year. Go shopping in Winter or early spring for an end of season / 2018 model bargain.

Years ago we were considering a Khyam and had gone to a localish place to have a look in March. We liked one they had on display, happened to be the previous years model but the salesman said that actually they really hadn't changed anything for the new season's version. The only one they had was the display model which was in perfect condition and we walked out with it half an hour later for several hundred less than what a new on would have cost. Had many years of use from it.

I have - of course - been persuaded by the wife to ignore the helpful advice given and fisted the kumquat on a Kampa Texal 6 and am now looking for a site with availability to test it over the bank holiday weekend.
