The technology to do this has been around for a while - I found a BBC report here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1399244.stm from 2001. More recently, this www.roadsafetyuk.co.uk/camnews.htm sounds a little more encouranging (see April 2004).

they are only accurate to 150MPH
no problem ! my bike and car can do over 150 so just to be safe I will have to drive that fast
