Sorry officer, but I didn't realise my indicators hadn't cancelled themselves...

Guilty.

But not with foglights

The worrying thing about this is that the people that regularly drive around with them on, really wanted to de-mist the rear window.
Just goes to show how much they use the rear view mirror as well.

...But if I use my foglights INSTEAD of my dipped beams then I will save money on lightbulbs...

Don't you just open the door to turn the light on?

My mate was driving around on dipped lights with no traffic ahead - I said 'why don't you use main beam?' He said 'because i'd dazzle oncoming cars'. I say 'well you dip the lights when a car comes the other way'. He says 'yes, but i'd have to do it every time another car comes along!'

i recall a viz top tip that went something like "hot hatch owners - by pressing the foglight button a second time, your fog lights will turn off"

What about people drive at night in the dark coutryside slowly with pathetic spread dipped lights on. When you want to overtake you can't as you can't safely see far enough ahead to make the move. AND THEY NEVER USE FULL BEAM, on the opinion no doubt that they can see far enough to clawl along so why would they need full beam on AAAAEERRRGGHH!!

Result you end up doing 30-40 when you'd far rather be making better progress.

What is with these high power dipped beams people have nowadays. Particularly guilty are Beemers and 4x4s. I can't see a fecking thing when these b@stards drive towards me and have to dip my mirrors when they are behind me otherwise I get transfixed by their lights and end up not watching where I am going. Are these lights legal?

Don't start me on the subject of spotty youths 'MAXPOWERED' shopping cars.

Has anyone else noticed how none of them understand the concept of torque steer? I've had several recent near head-ons with such cars - weedy youth sawing inneffectively at the wheel to try and compensate for injudicios throttle use - as they negotiate T junctions or roundabouts.

And yes, what are these new, paint blistering headlamps (on BMWs etc.) about?

how come these blue / green / red washer jet lights are legal?

they are a distraction at night becasue they are so intense.

I thought the only lights you are allowed on the front of the car is 'white'?

They aren't - they are for "show use only" - Plod can (and does) pull people for it... as per the plonker at the end of the office
