400se Steering Rack

Morning All -

Does anyone know where the steering rack is from
for a 1990 400se

or does anyone have one - New/Reconditioned/exchange etc etc

Trying to get at least a few weeks summer use before
its too late

IIRC it's a custom job, It's was made by supra (but NOT toyota supra). Think it was based on a certain year of cortina rack.

I got a rebuild kit off ebay and DIY'd it not too difficult.

You might be better getting your old one refurbed..Yes a TVR engineering special..."Supra"....

Had my rack rebuilt last year but mine was Cortina and not Supra. It was one of the first few 400's built though in 1988 so maybe using up parts! Kylie Clinton in Birmingham are pretty good for a refurb.

I have recently had my 400se rack rebuilt by Kiley Clinton. Rack was a special built by Supra Engineering and used by TVR and Aston. Its aluminium and the bushes have to be loctited in rather than pressed, to avoid damage.
