Enjoyed a long weekend at Weeting Steam Rally, hot weather straw grass and plenty of steam traction engines. Great care was taken involving the cinders disposal from the steam engines, as you might imagine.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the motorhome owner on site who put his jacket spuds in the oven and promptly went to the beer marquee. Needless to say completely forgetting his spuds which baked to the point of catching fire. His beautiful motorhome was completely gutted, the fire tenders making sure the fire didn’t spread. Thankfully nobody was injured.

Blimey, that's a harsh lesson.
I've seen some silly things while camping. Last year a large family group, 20-30 people, took over one side of a woodland camp site. It was a really hot afternoon and after the kids had decided to stop playing "wall ball" against a cabin (because they set off the alarm) the parents built them a fire to "play" with.
They got bored after 10 minutes and left the fire unattended, which is when I rang the farm to complain. Really, who leaves a fire unattended, or makes one for kids to play with then leave them to it?
