Brand New Leon Cupra shaking at 70mph
Discussion
So I've had my Leon Cupra 300 manual now for approx 2 months and 1600 miles and starting at about 70mph both the front seats start to shake. This has happened since new and initially I thought it was perhaps just due to the stiffness of suspension (it does it in all modes), but now I'm wondering if it could be something else. If I look at the passenger seat at this speed the back is shaking pretty ferrociously and I can feel the driver's seat doing the same albeit less with the weight of my backside sat on it.
Could it be that the wheels haven't been balanced properly at the factory?? But the steering wheel is fine, no shake or vibration here...
Finding the time to go back to the dealer 70 miles away is ball ache.
Anyone experienced something similar? Maybe it is just how the car drives, if so it's very annoying...

That’s not normal, could be a wheel weight though.....sounds like a safety issue to me so i’d be wary as something might just let go if it’s something more serious than just a wheel weight. Is the dealer 70 miles away your nearest main dealer?!
Thanks, yes I will take it in to be looked at. No there is a main dealer much closer but I was thinking perhaps I have to take it back to the one where I got the lease from.. perhaps I can take it to anyNonstarter said:

You can take it to any Seat main dealer to have them fix a warranty issue. The Voice said:
Does it also make a squeaking noise when going over speed bumps?
Our Cupra 300 shook above 80ish, and started squeaking over bumps - it needed new front arms and various bushes fitted under warranty.
This started at about 3000 miles from recollection.
That sounds pretty major! No, I've tested it going over speed bumps and doesn't seem to squeak, so I'm hoping it's something more minor. Our Cupra 300 shook above 80ish, and started squeaking over bumps - it needed new front arms and various bushes fitted under warranty.

I'm taking it in tomorrow, so fingers crossed!
