Electrical gremlin

Problem with the cooling fan on my R500. It doesn’t come on. Checked the fan , ok, no power from the sensor/switch on th rhs of the engine. Someone in the pits suggested the fan runs through the ecu. Another thing is that sometimes the ignition doesn’t fire up for the first 3 or 4 tries. Pulled all the relays out and checked all the fuses, all seem ok.
So come on Oracles any ideas?
