Motoring magazine. Tiff Needell teams up with supermodel Jodie Kidd to race a Maserati at the Monza grand prix circuit in Italy. Vicki Butler-Henderson pits two rich man's track cars against each other: the Noble M400 and the Mitsubishi Evo FQ400. Tom Ford tests the chic new Peugeot 1007 which comes with innovative sliding doors, and Jon Bentley debunks some common myths about diesels
Looks good, time to get the kettle on.

Jemma Kidd does look a lot like her sister Jodie, I'd still go for Jodie given an option though (yeah right!). It says on the BBC site that their grandma got her helicopter licence at the age of 64!
I wonder if they are after a replacement for VB-H? Despite the elastic trickery in the EVO-VIII she had the front end lurching around more than ever tonight.

yes it is Friday channel 5 at 7.30, i have a soft spot for that 1007, don't know why
Interesting. It's got some good features but its all outweighed by its shortcomings - the sliding doors are a good idea but the mechanism makes it top heavy. It's accommodating for its passengers but I dread to think what the boot space is like. And they seem to have been so desperate to cram all the Peugoet corporate features onto it that they look badly proportioned and silly.
But you know? I still have a soft spot for the thought behind the doors. I think I would prefer it a tiny bit lower, a tiny bit longer and with stiffer suspension that counterbalances the top-heavy body. If Peugoet had basically made a 106 with sliding doors it would've been better.
Got potential though.

VBH said that the mitsy would do 0 - 60 in 3.5. Seems a bit quick to me.
The press literature claims something in the region of 3.5~4.0 seconds to 60. It also claims it is 'the fastest accelerating saloon on sale today'..
Oh, and it also comes with a memo, which states 'Due to the high power output of the engine, any attempt to record the stated 0-60 time by side-stepping the clutch could result in severe drivetrain damage, and if the press personel are found to be responsible for this damage, they will be billed for the repairs'
