Volvo V60 Polestar

Volvo V60 Polestar.
Wasn't particularly looking for one, loved them when they came out (followed the ph fleet one every month ( https://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-fleet/volv... ) but 50k was too rich and forgot about them, 2.5 years later and sub 30k they make much more sense. I was driving a 335i which was efficient but I never loved it when this one came up for sale literally in my village. The only one in Ireland north or south so I couldn't let it return to the mainland, drove it, loved it, made an offer and the rest is history.
For those not familiar, polestar are Volvo's tuning arm, they take the regular V60 3.0 T6, add adjustable ohlins suspension, 80% stiffer springs, modified turbo/new intercooler and other engine gubbins, 20" pilot super sports, carbon fibre strut braces, 370mm brembos, 2.5" switchable exhaust and modified gearbox with haldex four wheel drive. Lots of minor trim changes too.
The result is superb, having had the 850r back in the day the V60 has that real touring car feel. The suspension has 20 settings 1 being full track and 20 being comfort, they were 15 when I got it, I've dialled it up to 8 which I feel is a good compromise for sporty road use. The noise is fantastic, people look behind me to see what on earth is making it, the exhaust it switchable so can be tamed down when you need to be more sensible.
Acceleration is quick, just scrapes sub 5 seconds 0-60, 16.7 0-120 and it has a lot of presence. On PH runs, cars and coffee etc there is a string of questions, photos etc where as the bmw was completely invisible, which I appreciate will suit some people better. The handling defies its size. It loves to be thrown about and is very playful.
Extras wise there were no options from the factory, they come fully loaded with even heated steering wheel and rear seats.
I've done very little so far, the tyres are on their last life line at 14k miles, looks like around 1k for set. I stuck my own number plate on and Mark at total perfection added a ceramic coat for me, went for the kamikaze, makes washing very pleasant. I also extended the Volvo warranty as its approaching 3 years old, was very reasonably priced at less than £450.
The owners club on facebook is second to none, full of good advice and regular meets, which unfortunately I don't make due to being the wrong side of the water but do intend to make a trip sometime. I would also love to fulfil a lifetime dream of a few laps of the ring in it. Volvo claim 7m 51s, I'll be aiming for an 11 then.

Nice car mate, I've witnessed David (doormans) v60 polestar in action on a few runs and it's very impressive. His has been mapped and tweaked to produce 420 bhp iirc, properly fast.
Lovely sound as well, I was following it along the a3 at a *very* serious rate of knots and it sounded gorgeous.
