Which fuse this time (V8S) ?
Discussion
Stationary in Lulworth car park, with my head in the footwell is not an exciting use of my time. I think another fuse / relay may have blown but I don't know where to start because the symptoms are rather weird.
No problems up to the point where we'd finished our ice cream and were setting off again and the fuel pump refuses to prime and the alarm won't activate / deactivate. This coupled with the passenger seatbelt totally jamming - wonderful!
So I fiddle with the fuses, look up and see the alarm LED flashing normally (i.e. the immobilisor is on). Great, I think, it's sorted. Get in, shut the door and try to start it - notice the LED has gone off again and the alarm doesn't work. Open door - notice the LED starts flashing again. Shut door - it goes off. I now understand. The interior light circuit seems to be interfering with the alarm / fuel pump. Which is odd to say the least.
Luckily, I could start the car with the door open and - thank all Gods - it remained running when I shut the door. All day long we were stopping and looking at bluebells, etc so each time I had to open the door to start the engine!
How bizarre.
Now, I wonder if anyone (and this is a long shot because of the reputation of TVR wiring) has any inkling what I should be looking for to sort this problem out. I have the Bible but as the symptoms are weird and there is no fuse labelled "Weird stuff - replace this" I'm a bit stuck.
Thanks for any assistance.

Aaaanyway, after my brother had tested all the fuses and relays and got nowhere he thought he'd try to fix the intermittent windscreen wash problem. Lo and behold, the connections on the washer bottle motor were completed corroded and - ta daaaah - there was a power take-off to the alarm. Once the wire had been snipped, cleaned and new connectors had been attached, two problems had been solved at a stroke.
So I can now start the car with the door closed! And I can see out of the windscreen.
