I can't get the MC12 out of my head. I can't work out why. There is something about the car that appeals more than the Enzo does. It's as if it has more soul... It's slower than the Enzo, but to me thats almost better... it's the underdog, the more charismatic contender. hhmm the words of Mr. Mountain ring true "Because its a Maserati".
It's strange but because its the lesser car on paper, that makes it appeal to me more.

Agree totally Rico, the MC12 to me is and I would 'easily' choose one over an Enzo.
I think part of it is down to the styling of the car, having followed an MC12 for a good few miles a couple of weeks ago I absolutely fell in love with it.
I have never seen anything on the road that looked more like a real Le Mans/GT car yet was truly, truly beautiful.
Obviously I have never driven either the Enzo or the MC12 but the latter does seem to have more character, more soul, more desirability and dare I say it more Italian-ess than the Enzo?

No - quite the opposite - I think you are both right - the Maserati is, IMHO, the more desirable car. The Maserati is more of what it's all about - certainly more so than the Enzo.
**NB** (Neither marque hold a candle to Lamborghini of course - Lamborghini are the true upholders of the respective faith's of "Italianess" and "Supercardom" )

I agree that the Ultima has the looks of a Le Mans racer but I'm afraid it's not as beautiful as the MC12
Don't get me wrong I would dearly love to have an Ultima sitting in my garage (especially after reading this months Evo) but for sheer presence and beauty the MC12 has it I'm afraid.

Ultima's look too much like kit cars. They may be as fast but will never be as exotic or desirable as an Enzo / MC12
MC12 is a lot more exclusive but I prefer the looks of the Enzo.
That said if I was Frank Mountain I would sell them both and bid for the 400 mile Maclaren F1 with the factory downforce package that is being auctioned this summer.

Sinatra was a big Lambo fan - he is purported to have made that comment on a couple of occasions, including once during a visit to Sant'Agata in 1969 to spec his Miura.

Yeah - GREAT colour as well - ARANCIO ATLAS (Orange Metallic) - the choice of those in the know!

MC12 at Bob Houghton now : www.racecar.co.uk/bobhoughton/index.htm
In that photo it demonstrates the stances both cars take very well.
The Enzo looks tall and firm, shoulders forward, chest out. It takes pride of place at the front of the pair.
The MC12 looks sad, the eyes are dropped at the sides, the chin held low.
Both are absolutely awesome, but the MC12 just seems more alive to me. And for half a mill, I want the car to be a part of me.

I'm sorry, but I just can't make a firm decision without seeing some video of each car in action...
That aside, the Ferrari seems to me to have too much emphasis on technical prowess whereas the MC12, and Maserati in general, seems to ellicit a more romantic response from enthusiasts.
IMHO, of course.
