Flew right over my pad at 6.30pm yesterday. And yes, I live close to Wattisham!

Hardly matters in the greater scheme of things, but it always hits a nerve, that one.

First thing that popped in to my mind was an exercise by the USAF from (iirc) Alconbury? the RAF base in Cambridgeshire that's used by the USAF. Be something to do with the impending visit from a Trumpanzee......

Anyhoo - where does air force 1 land when the Trumpkin visits?

The Apache is army, I don't think they'll be in the flypast.

Definitely not. I work on them at Wattisham. 3 reg AAC were on a two week exercise, operating from Wattisham. I 'think' the 8 ship may have flown over Bury St Ed's for their evening armed forces bash (or something) that unbelievably was on during the England match.

And of course, as above, they're decorated with "Army" on the tailboom smile

These flew right overhead our home too (South Cambs) - we get quite blasé now about 2 or 4 going past, 8 were noticeably louder and quite a spectacle!
