I'm dreaming at the moment of a Tornado 38 power boat and keeping it in Italy. Its madness but they truly are a thing of beauty. Can anyone recommend alternatives.

Where do you want to start?

I have an office in Viareggio so I get all of these sorts of boats for sale. I had a lovely Tornado 38 for sale last year. The owners eventually decided to keep it.

They don't come any more classic than the Riva Super Aquarama. If I had one I would definitely keep it in Italy.

This is more what I was expecting to see in a thread about classic Italian powerboats, rather than some modern thing.

I remember seeing a Super Aquarama for the first time on Lake Como. Stunning.

Gotta love an Itama.

Old friend of mine bought a new Leopard 23M. We did Sotogrande to Port Solent in 60 hours.

One of these in the marina at the moment. Modern but still classic.

I had a bit of a look round the Paterson Boatworks 'Elektra' and would love to own one, but likely more rather than less. A fast displacement hull with electric or hybrid drive, or I suspect any engine you asked for.

But yes, huge amount of love for the classics lines, and for wooden speed boats in general.
