Hi guys
First post on here.
I had my car detailed around 2 months ago; without going into too much detail I got fleeced.
Anyway I was cleaning my car yesterday and I noticed two parts that look to me like watermarks but they are completely surrounded by scratches in all directions. I have not noticed these before and I am as careful as can be when I clean it, I know I haven't caused them.
Do you think this area can be salvaged? I'll be honest the pictures make it look worse than it is, but still. It is completely smooth to the touch, in any direction, no ridges or raised parts, scratches can't catch fingernail etc.

I would try and T-Cut it then polish.
Meguiars Ultimate Compund. Cheap and cheerful (about £10 a bottle), and should tidy that up with 15 mins of effort.Looks like a mark that's been touched in then sanded. Edit - nope closer look shows it's a stain of some sort. Some folks say you can remove marks like that by heating the panel with a hot air gun - trust me, it doesn't work. I've had panels at 100c+ to try and remove bird poo marks = not a jot of difference. Compound + 10 minutes = gone.
Just go easy to make sure you don't end up going straight through the lacquer, but if it's that bad it would need painted anyway. So, maybe a bit of compromise needed on how much of the mark you remove.
