Touch up paint for 20” db9 alloys

I am struggling to find the right one. Asked my dealer for the paint code for the 20” diamond cut 10 spoke alloys on my 9.2 and the response was that there isnt one.

I am looking at this page of touch up paint kits and wanted to ask here if anyone would suggest the closest match to the original colour of the alloys.

I find it hard to believe that aston martin do not have a colour code for the paint but alas that is the official response.....

Any help or advice much appreciated.

Diamond cut will be just that, diamond cut alloy that is then clear lacquered. There will not be a paint code.

I thought they were painted and then cut, thanks for the info.

What would be a good colour match to the grey alloy in your experience?

I wanted similar for my wheels and went along to a local refurb centre. Asked them for advice and asked could a buy a bottle of their recommended touch up. Happily they disappeared into the back of the workshop and came out with a small bottle of paint which they gave to me. If you don't ask you don't get.

I had a wheel refurbished and the dropped a wheel nut on it during a brake pad change..went back to the guy that did the wheel and he gave me the tip .. nail polish.

OPI colour “my silk tie” is a pretty good match for my DB9 wheels

I got the nail varnish on ebay and it was delivered today. For £5 it was worthwhile. Although it isnt perfect the colour is very close and it certainly takes ones eye away from the black chips that were there before. You would now have to look hard to find the touched up areas. Once it has fully cured it should be job done.

does anyone know where i can find the paint code for a 2006 DB9?
I've looked in the the door jamb, under the hood, in the boot and in the glove compatrtement but cannot find a paint code anywhere.
I know the colour is called Meteorite Silver, and i ordered a touch paint from a supplier, but it's not a match.
I've tried putting in my reg number on a couple of sites, but it still asks for a paint code to give an exact match
Any advice is appreciated.

Paint code normally on the top of the front crossmember you need to take off the slam panel to view it.

Open the bonnet and the slam panel is at the front about 12+ bolts to remove.

thanks - why do AM make it so darn difficult to find a paint code. surely it should be easier to find a paint code rather then having to remove a dozen or so bolts. and then put them all back on again.

Avinalarf was a frequent contributor to our forum and as his username suggests, often provided great gags and humour.
He has owned several different Aston Martin cars, beginning (possibly in the 1970s) with a DB6, to his latest model the DB9.

After retiring from business, his time is probably allocated to his family, so unfortunately we now rarely see posts from him.
Sometimes if a joke might have been criticised, he would say posting on here, is just a therapy for me.
