Qinetic Alphajet - Yellow Tail

This is a question I've been meaning to ask for a while. Not long before the type's retirement, at least one of the Alphajets in the ETPS fleet was sporting some yellow markings on the tail plane. Can anyone identify the reason why?

Presumably some sort of photo/filming reference mark.

When were they retired?
