Has anyone indicated to Alfa that they would like one?
I must admit I’ve singularly failed once again to learn any lessons of the past - and told Alfa I’ll take an 8C when it appears. I fully expect to go through very similar amounts of hassle, cockup and general buggering about that accompanied the first 8C experience and then the 4C.

Jamie - wtf knows this time?!
That iteration of the 8C was always allegedly pitched as a GT - well it was when it was pitched originally!
This time around? Who knows what it will eventually be?! I do 2000+ miles a month in the 4C, absolutely not what the car is for, but it works for me and is so f
king special to spend time in that I love it. Of course from the excitement of being at Geneva for prototype unveiling we went to the reality of the horror show unveiling of the production model. I kinda laugh a little that I went from being damn nr the first name of Alfa UK’s 8C list to finally getting a 4C - what 5yrs after its reveal.
I have no idea what will happen over the next few yrs with these cars except 2 things:
1. What is delivered in 2022 will NOT be what is said in that release.
2. It’s an Alfa C car - it will still be spectacular.
This is why I’ve said yes. I KNOW Alfa will f
k us around. I KNOW they will f
k something up with the car somehow. I also know that what they will eventually produce will be bloody stunning in a way that Ferrari couldn’t even dream of beginning to get close to. Having lived and worked in Italy for a few yrs now I get Alfa and it’s C cars. They are art and Alfa pour everything they know about art into them. That means certain compromises in the reality of life dealing with them. They are the soul of Italy in that despite the best efforts of the place, somehow it all kinda works. In a weird f
ked up kinda way.
