Silverstone Classic 2018
Discussion
Hello everyone, I'm going to attend Silverstone Classic, anyone going to there? It would be my first time so if anyone here can share their experience on what to expect/to do. I'm more than happy to.
Also anyone knows where is the best nearby town to stay near Silverstone? I had to use public transport so is it hard to go in and around SIlverstone?
Thank you very much.

We go every year.
What to do?.....
Depends what tickets you've bought and what you enjoy.
Personally I try to do as many race paddocks on Friday as it's the quietest day and you get more time with the owners and drivers who are usually very happy to tell you about their cars and their history. There are also a lot less car club cars on Friday. I got a great picture of my son sat in a McLaren CanAm a couple of years ago. Then Friday night the music.
Saturday and Sunday is split between car club visiting and race watching depending on the programme. Most grandstands are free. In personally like Silverstone 6. There's also the funfair, lots of stalls and some good freebies from Jet (I still use my Jet torch)etc. Etc.
Saturday night is UB40 headlining this year 😊
Staying over. In previous years we've found a great B&B 15 minutes drive, but that requires you drive and I think you said public transport. Last year we camped at Litchlake farm and will do so again. 5 minutes walk and you can have a beer at the evening party. We use a pre-pitched tent company. It costs but the reduction in hassle makes it worth it for us.
You won't regret going but even if you have a 3 day ticket you won't see everything.
I hope this helps.
