Thanks to a numpty swerving over my side of the road this morning, causing me to swerve and hit a low curb, my once perfect front passenger side alloy is scuffed.

Can anyone recommend a good refurbisher in the South. I am based in Fleet, Hants.

Man, I am pi$$ed off.

Mike,

Be sure to get the wheel balanced before you refurb it. I did just the same and the wheel was buckled. The spiders are notoriuosly soft.

Do you have new steering wheel vibration at high speed?

Know how you feel, mine's scuffed too, and trying to find time time to get it fixed is a nightmare when you work upwards of 12+ hours a day!
There are always quite a few local wheel refurbishers in any area, it's best taking your car to a few and getting some quotes, or Wicked Wheels, who come to your doorstep! (But not mine as they don't cover the Forest of Dean apparently!!)
Chan bought me a set of shiney nuts for Xmas, still haven't put 'em on as I want my wheel sorted before I do, and before the Tam/T350 meet hpefully!!

Chris - I want to get it dine before the Tam & T350 meet too. Have you got any contact details for wicked wheels?

Alistair - No vibration at high speed yet, manged to hit 70+ on the way in and no worries. Having a service soon at Racing Green and already booked in for the laser allignment so hopefully any problems will be sorted then...

Try giving these guys a call, just done all 4 wheels on my MG ZT in just over 3 hours and I cannot fault them. Was £55 a wheel to repair, paint and laquer them, which I thought was good value as they are 18inch wheels.

Ask Racing Green about the scuffed alloy.

Found out that 3 of mine were buckled, badly. They got me refurbished rims at a great price.

And re the laser alignment.....coupled with an excellent wheel balancing session at RG, the car is stunning to drive.

Luca - It's booked in for an oil service in a few weeks, and I was gonna get them to do the whole alignment, balancing thing, as when they did it on my Chimaera, It chagend the way it handled completely, much much nicer to drive.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the refurbed rims?

Cheers

Eeek, to be honest, I can't remember, but I do know they were A LOT cheaper than new ones. Give 'em a call and ask.

Sorry,

Just had the OZ 8 spokes on my S3 refurbed by Micheldever Tyres at about £45 per wheel. Results are brilliant. Thoroughly recommended.
