Gutted.

She was a well known & much loved part of Gloucester docks.

I wonder what went wrong?

Presumably she was insured so the insurance company will want to know what went wrong. Will the towing compnay also be wanting to know what went wrong. Could they be on the hook?

It looks pretty much like a mock-up stern wheel. It looks like an actual propshaft under the stern.

I don't know any more than that, but as an outside observer, the involvement of the lifeboat as opposed to another commercial vessel suggests that it was somewhat unplanned.

SARA is a volunteer/commercial organisation so may have been 'commissioned' to provide assistance.
