OK someone I know in the marketing section of a large well known company was in some discussions with representative/s of a large media group.
Was taken aback to be told, if you buy advertising from us we can influence how your company is perceived in the media ...

That’s the commercial slant on the press, which is understandable to a degree.
More frustrating and harder to understand is the political slant that is becoming more prevalent. The 'if you don't print it how we want to see it you won't get the briefings' type thing going on at the moment.
Is it me just waking up to the realities of democracy or does it stink
