2003 RS6 C5 4.2 exhaust

Has anyone on here replaced the rear silencers on an RS6 4.2 model referred to as the C5. I’m looking for a cheaper alternative to a miltek system, if it’s been done before and sounds good.

Would removing the centre silencers but keeping the rear mufflers make much difference in the sound?

Recommendations near Manchester would be useful too. Thanks
