The light that lives in the folding section of the roof has disappeared. In fact, looking at how tidily the wires we pushed inside the recess I reckon it was never connected.

So, which manufacturer made that light, is there an (LED?) upgrade and is this light a likely cause of the battery running flat? Just trying to work out why it wasn’t connected.

Found it. It’s a Vauxhall unit.

I went a different route. I disconnected the factory fitted light & left it in place then connected an LED strip that runs around the solid part of the targa hoop, splicing into the loom behind the door card on the driver side. I also added smaller LED strips into the footwells, all linked together.

I just replaced the bulb with a similar LED version, like I did with the rear number plate lights and side indicators. So much brighter and no problems at all

Thanks guys. I’ve found a used replacement in very good condition. I’ve only had the car a few weeks so plan to keep it original for now. Will make a note of the rear view mirror and the LED strip although I’ll probably just stick with an LED bulb swap for now.
