Finally took the plunge
Discussion
So after nearly 18 months of want, I finally have a Quadrifoglio. I’ve talked myself out of buying one numerous times due to the problems with the early cars and the dreaded depreciation. A pre reg car popped up at the weekend that I couldn’t resist, deal done on Sunday and I picked it up on Monday even though the dealer was 200 miles away, it had to be done quickly as the it was the dealers financial year end on the 30th. It’s pretty much poverty spec apart from the paint, there are a few things that I would have liked such as the dark 5 hole alloys and carbon steering wheel, but they weren’t must haves, the wheels can be changed once I find a set (let me know if anyone knows of a set for sale), I’ll proably get the standard wheels painted anthracite for now. I’m as happy as a pig in s
t with it, the driving experience far outweighs any little niggles such as the rubbish Sat Nav and squealy brakes. I love the noise with the valves open, although I would prefer it was permanent (maybe another mod) I love the steering and it’s ride comfort, I’ve no idea how they have made such a focused car that smooth and comfy. I was going to get it detailed but I’m amazed at the condition of the paintwork, its100% swirl free, so that’s saved me a few £
. I might try and keep this one longer than my usual 12 months.

...and to think you could have had the dark wheels, alcantara steering wheel, plus red calipers for a fiver extra!!!
Seriously though I’d keep the wheels you have, they’re lighter and stronger, I’d spend the money on a carbon diffuser from Koshi or Pogea.
AHM do exhaust valve controller and lowering springs which I think they all need.

Thanks Michael, yes it was a very tough decision, the extra security of buying from a main dealer just clinched it, but yours was definitely the better car. I’ll look into that controller, I’d love to lower it but I’m already paranoid about whacking the front splitter, I’m up and down some steep hills everyday where I live, so it may be a step too far....and to think you could have had the dark wheels, alcantara steering wheel, plus red calipers for a fiver extra!!!

Congratulations! I’ve had mine for almost a year now, totally faultless and I actually like the Sat Nav! The squeaky brakes go with hard braking, so get out there and use it properly! I have just swapped back onto my P Zero Corsa’s from Conti Winter tyres and that is proving to be fun!
This is easily the best car in its sector, more people should give them a try.

That's a good looking car
Arnold Clark in Paisley have an ex-demo one at the moment. It's Montecarlo Blue with the Black leather interior. It has the upgraded 19” dark alloy wheels, red brake calipers, convenience pack, Quadrifoglio Carbon and Alcantara steering wheel and electric seat packs and has only covered 250 miles.
They're asking £54,988 for it. I must admit I'm tempted by it but I kinda want the Competitzione Red
