One of the biggest events of the year at Brooklands celebrating the UK’s obsession with all things Italian. This will be Auto Italia’s 33rd Spring Gathering - the UK’s first and finest all-Italian car event. Expect the site to be bursting with all types of Italian cars (and a few motorbikes).

Test Hill demonstration will be taking place, in addition to action on the Mercedes-Benz World circuit. In previous years there have been over 200 Ferraris alone! This year there will be just as much to see and do, including many trade and club stands so come early, bring your camera and plan the whole day at Brooklands!

Highlights on the day include a live demonstration of a rare 1955 Maserati A6G Zagato, a Lancia Stratos Group 4 Rally car and a Intermeccanica Indra, built by Construzione Automobili Intermeccanica, this very rare car is powered by an Chevrolet 350 V8 engine.

I had a great day....biggrin

One of my favourite cars of the day was a scruffy little Moretti 750 ,albeit parked in the "special" area.

Was up for sale at 25K too....yikes

I got there really early to avoid the queues, was one of the first in.

Excellent event. Sunny weather helped. Arrived 8.40 am straight in to the Heights Car Park with no queueing. Many of the Lambos departed at lunchtime. I suspect the PH SS pattern of 'morning only' events has spread. Blenheim Supercars today (Sunday) is a 'morning only' do too. Two Miuras, an LM002, and Jarama, a Ferrari 250 Berlinetta Lusso, an Alfa 6C and various 60's oddballs helped offset the 'moderns'. MB World track and the Brooklands Test Hill add action to the mix and make a day of the visit.

It was a brilliant day but hot! Luckily I spent a good portion of it in the Aircraft Hanger, as a steward, helping little kids (and a few big kids) make airplanes, where it was a good deal cooler.

Special mention to the poor unfortunate in the white Lambo who took a wrong turn and, instead of heading out, ended up at the bottom of the test hill, in the middle of a load of cars that intended to be there.

Watching him do a 3,4,5, maybe 6-point turn under those circumstances to escape was very entertaining. Personally I think he should have gone through with the climb.

Were you in the queue of maybe 10 or so cars at 7.30 when I drove in to my trade stand? If so hats off to you smile

Probably, can't remember how early I arrived but I was second in the queue behind a red FIAT coupe.
I just wanted to avoid the jams.
3rd car to arrive was a very rare Ford Anglia Torino,a Ford that the Italians didn't want to buy,so got taken apart and almost completely restyled .
