17inch wheels on a tamora

Looked at a Tamora with aftermarket wheels on that i don't like .Love the spiders that it should have on it, but they do seem to get buckled easily hence why the owner changed them after bending two of his wheels.Would 17inch wheels with 225/235 45 17 tyres affect the handling or look out of place,Any one fitted 17inch wheels or have any pictures

So long as the replacement wheels are the same width and offset as the originals the only possible difference in handling is a slightly more forgiving ride using slightly bigger ratio tyres to maintain the factory rolling radius.

Bola make a wheel (B7) looks exactly the same as the spider is this the wheel that tvr parts sell or is it a better made wheel.

Basically the bigger the diameter the easier it is to buckle. Also the wider the wheel the easier it is to buckle. Personally the stronger wheels are the motorsport type rather than the styled wheels.
Are you just wanting a different set of 17’s you like?

I looked at a Tamora with team dynamics painted black , not being a lover of black wheels i started to look for a set of spiders which i think suit the car perfectly but they do seem to buckle easily . I thought 17inch with a bigger side wall might help

16-inch Spiders look great on the Tamora (imho).

Best handling car TVR ever made prior to the Sag was the Tamora with 16-inch Spiders. 225/50 tyres all round.

There is a set of 16 inch spiders on ebay, maybe i should consider them.

If you don't like them then fit a set of trackday tyres and go have some real fun.
