White GT3 for sale Classifieds

Hi all,

I am in the market for a GT3, happy with white and quite interested in one in the adds from a private sale, but also some OPC's have some low mileage cars at sensible starting prices.

Anyone have any knowledge about the car in Exeter which has been there a while, and the private add for a 63 plate gloss wheeled white car at £115k ?

I have a mint 9k mile GTS that I am looking to trade

I have been tracking quite a few of these over the past few months as I was deliberating on whether to go GT3 or GTS (I ended up going GTS). The one at the Wolverhampton OPC ticked a lot of boxes for me, and has been up for sale since last summer. Whilst the mileage is high, that's reflected in the price (and I'm sure there is some negotiation to be done). Also, it has had it's engine replaced back in June 2014, I believe as a recall and not because the previous one failed. I was speaking with Mark Dyer up there and he was very easy and straightforward to deal with.

In which case, Reading OPC have a white one with 13k miles on it which is pretty nice, however missing the chrono pack. This was originally up for £125k (in mid-March), and they've recently knocked £5k off of it. I've got a video presentation of that one if you want to see it (just pm me). Also Lodge have a very nice 64 plate in black (currently wrapped in Nardo Grey) with 12k miles. They've had this since early Feb and the price on that hasn't changed.

I see Reading had another white one with under 8k on the clock. Is it gone?...

No, by the time that one came up, I had decided to go down the 991.1 GTS route and plan to step up to the GT3 in a couple of years. Saw the other one at Reading, and that was pretty clean too.

I think so - 1 week in and no regrets ... and the dealer sent me this tempting picture just before I picked the car up !

I’m presuming you’re happy with “comfort spec”...? Many of these about, so a buyer’s market atm... If I wasn’t so bloody stubborn over “needing” the roll cage/buckets, I’d be making some silly offers on these cars: many have been sitting around for nearly a year...!! Seen the Wolves one up close: nice motor— very high spec— needs a bit of paintwork attention (sills/bonnet), but sure that could be made part of a deal.... Peeps just put off by the mileage on that one....

Let us know how you get on, but don’t be afraid to be cheeky with your offers— there’s a lot on the market to choose from....

I keep getting the itch of chopping my GT4 in for 991.1 GT3 (However only had the GT4 since autumn & hence not had long enough to really enjoy/use it etc)

Prefer a “clubsport” over a comfort model - What’s people thoughts on the red 991.1 GT3 clubsport that’s just come on with 6k 2014 model at at Swindon OPC ?

I see Glasgow OPC are flipping a 150 mile blue GT3.2 for a mere £190k.

Swindon OPC....?? Can’t see it on the Locator....

How many miles have you done in the GT4 since Autumn....?? Are you not tempted just to give it a really good ragging over the summer...?? Really see what it’s capable of on some nice, dry winding roads....?? Maybe even a few track days: It’s such an awesome machine, I feel you’d be missing out on what the GT4 has to offer under the right conditions....

Maybe then think of selling up....??

That's an extremely ambitious price bearing in mind No clubsport,heavy 18 way seats and steel brakes..The least suitable spec for profitable speccing i've yet seen..

Hi Swimfiz - Yes that’s also keeps coming into my mind - Should own the GT4 for at least one summer & give it a good hoon etc & enjoy what it has to offer

On separate note yes there are some bonkers priced cars out there

There couple of 2013 GT3’s I’ve seen for sale which have been on for ages for £110 ish on Autotrader

Some GT3’s for sale have mileage of 20k odd for around 115-117k or pay £125-128k for 6-8k

Yes— the 991.1 GT3 prices are a bit “all over the place” at the moment... I’ve been watching the market for the past year, and there sometimes seems no rhyme or reason as to the pricing on these cars, aside from the obvious fact that Clubsports generally command higher prices, partly due to their relative scarcity.... But, as Throt just mentioned, a comfort spec car recently flew off the shelves at Reading OPC— go figure....!!

Personally, i REALLY, REALLY would keep your GT4 for the summer: you haven’t owned it long enough to really enjoy what it has to offer, and it offers a LOT....!! (Ignore the naysayers, who whinge continually about the “long gearing” and the “non-Motorsport engine”...!!) It’s a belting car for the price and— kept “on song” at high revs— awesome enough competition for any full “GT car”....

Also—and this is just personal opinion/experience— moving up to the “next level” motor without fully deciding what you like/dislike about your current car, means that you will probably never fully appreciate your next purchase.... And where will it end...?? The GT cars are already at the top end of the Porsche spectrum: savour each one before moving up the ladder...!!

As you may gather from my recent posts, I’m also looking at moving into a Gen 1 GT3— only because my friend is offering it me for silly money (relatively speaking!)— and it would be almost foolish for me not to “give it a go”.... But.... I still can’t quite bear to let my GT4 go: it’s THAT good and, as a combined street & track car, almost unbeatable imo....!!
