Hi all,

I've gone and got myself one of these 3 day test drives that Vauxhall are offering (in a VX220 turbo). Sounds like fun so I thought I'd turn it into an intensive driving / camping holiday around Scotland.

So, my question is what roads would you say are an absolute must during a 72hr Cannonball Run around Scotland in a VXT ???

Met Shady on his run up here,

I've done most good Scottish roads in a 911tt, R500, M3 and RS6 - so have a fair idea of the good the bad & the ugly.

e mail me if you want any more info.

Get your but up to Dingwall then head west to Kinlochewan, then down to Kyle of lochalsh taking in the utterly crazy applecross road if you fancy on the way!. All that lot'd suit the VXR pretty damn well!

if you want something a bit closer, I find the Perth-Braemar road fantastic (although occasionally too much traffic) then up over the Lecht to Tomintoul and on from there. I quite often take my Tiger R6 from Aberdeen to Edinburgh via Braemar. great fun! very twisty in places, very fast in places - BIG grin factor!

but as someone else said, pretty much ALL the roads in scotland (outside the central belt) are FABULOUS!

enjoy!

Brilliant - thanks for the input. I'll take loads of pics and post them on here on my return.

Weather is looking shocking for this weekend though :-(

Hi,
How does one go about getting one of these 3 day test drives? I might well try it myself. I am after a new sports car and have cash to spend. However it will likely be a Morgan.
