Help!
Took the Porker for a spin last night. When I turned the headlights on,the offside one wouldn't pop up.It appears to be jammed up about 1/4 of an inch and wont move either way.Anyone any ideas what to do?
Thanks
Steve

I imagine the pop ups use the same system as the 944. In the manual it says you can raise them manually if the motor fails but this seems unlikely if one of them still works normally. Sounds like part of the linkage between the lights has come adrift. I could scan the page from the manual if you like.

Hmmm, they are linked by a bar in 944s to stop the 'TR7 wink' syndrome. I wonder if it is the same in the 911 flatnose. Anyway, there must be a downside to having those flashy pop up lights... you can't have it all your own way Steve

Dom,
They are different to the 944's,separate motors for each light. Was going to take it to Camtune this morning, but now that battery has gone flat!Oh the joys of old cars.....

I suppose you bought the TVR to be a reliable second car

C'mon, Steve, are you going to tell the boys or shall I?

Looks like I'll have to clean then Dom.....yes I've bought a Griff 500....You'll see it on Sunday at V.Water guys.(No I'm not expecting Germanic reliability!)

Still be keeping the Porker though.

Porker now good as new,a fine job by Camtune as usual.
It was a wire on one of the relays misbehaving it seems. All set for V.Water now.
The nice thing is that it was FOC,even though it is no longer under warranty!
Thanks Ciaran/Tim.

Now eventually sorted, collect car this morning from Camtune. Not sure what the problem was but now should be well fettled,as they have done one or two other things as well(not sure what yet but the bill is £292!)

Collected the Porker this morning,Camtune seem to have done a really good job.All ready for VW tommorow!
