Trailer wheels and tyres
Discussion
I've got a miracle dinghy on which the trailer tyres are cracked so need replacing. It currently has on 4.8/4.00-8 wheels/tryes. I can get 4.00-8 wheels and tyres easily and cheaply from amazon but the proper ones will take a bit longer and I'm in a rush as I need to move it 350 miles.
Is this an absolute no-no? The only difference I can see is the proper wheels would be 0.8 inches wider but as the boat only weighs 60kg and the trailer probably not more than that which is way under the 290kg per wheel rating. Is a slightly narrower tyre a big deal?
Am I risking it or should I just go for it? Cheers
