I'm off to Spa next week and want to get the sharwerks fitted, does anyone have any experience of running a GT3 with the bypass pipe at Spa.

The day has a 107db static and 103db drive by - I'm told the stock car is 90db drive by.

I don't want to fit it and then get black flagged after a 500 mile trip!

Safest solution, probably fit it when I return!

I've been using one on a 7.2RS at Silverstone...until last week when on the 4th visit there I got handed a photosnap suggesting I was running some 107db driveby!

I found it hard to believe given previous outings so can only assume that the overcast/misty conditions amplify sound somewhat?

I have since bought a set of silencer tips to replace the standard tips on circuit if needed

Although it's not quite the same, I was at Spa last year and the noise test comprised a guy walking down the pit lane and looking at/under the cars and applying a sticker! There were some incredibly loud Lotus and also what appeared to be an unsilenced classic TVR race car running that day without issue.

Always my experience too. I've often had the noise passed sticker put on my car while I was in the cafe! Only seen them test cars that are obviously loud e.g. cup cars and the GT1 that was there on one our trips. cloud9
