Posting on here cautiously but I'd like to share some knowledge of my old GT3 as a black GT3 with the same registration - LX54 CZL - is currently for sale in the classifieds (not PH).

I owned this car up to mid 2016 and was the owner when it was declared an insurance total loss due to accident damage on track

So if you are considering purchasing the vehicle please make sure to ask the seller about the history and repair work undertaken

I've no knowledge or connection with the car since 2016 and making no judgement on the current seller

Was it at Rockingham?

I remember seeing a picture of a crashed black 996.2 but never managed to find out its registration number. 2016 sounds about right.

Thanks.

Nothing on the ad. Doesn't the seller have to declare a cat car?

I don't think it is a CAT car... just in the same way there is another red Mk2 CS for sale, which was written off at the Ring during a track day, with the insurance provider paying out to the owner, but never declaring the car a total loss. I think it is something to do with the type of insurance policy applicable at the time - not your normal road insurance policy, but track day insurance, which is different. If you HPI both cars, they come back clear, yet both were the subjects of total loss pay outs from a track day insurance policy...
