Starting to get a series of niggling issues with my '07 159 1.9JTDm Sportwagon, after a major problem at Christmas - seized water pump that took out the cam-belt. Car's done 88K and generally runs well and is pleasure to own.

I'm now suffering from lack of power below ~2,000rpm, some cursory research points to EGR valve or split pipe somewhere, any other ideas? Would an EGR blanking kit be worthwhile? not interested in remaps etc as it's just a daily money for things like that is better spent on my MX5.

I've also managed to disturbed the drivers door handle so that the handle doesn't return back when you open the door, had the interior door panel off and it looks a bit complicated in there...

I've got a 156 JTDM 150. I had the EGR blank put in ( got one with the holes in to prevent EML coming on ) and it did improve mpg slightly. I got mine from Poland via Ebay (!) for about £15 and my local Alfa indy installed it in about 10 mins. Not sure if this helps at all !!

Turbo hose!? I’ve done the upper and lower on my 1.9 jtdm (GT)
They’re prone to splitting and would produce similar symptoms (as would a host of other things 🙄)

It seems to have cured itself, I was playing about with a code reader (no codes logged) started it and after a bit of churning it fired up with some smoke and seems to be working since. Had it serviced at a local Alfa specialist who gave it a check over. Consensus seems to be a stick EGR valve, when I get round to it I'll give everything a good clean.
