Wedge seat query

Hi All,

Red wedge just passed its MoT - mighty pleased! No advisories too, I was sure the hand brake was going to be a problem, but apparently not.
I was so excited, I left the sidelights on for nearly 3 days, and **** me sideways, it started first turn of the key, bless it.
Still chasing the 'chuffing' noise, but in the meantime I'm going to do some interior tidying, which brings me to a question - what is the side cover for the seat tilt mechanism off? I need a driver's side one .

Not sure what they were originally from but I know that someone on here had some re-manufactured a few years back. I can't remember who it was but they were of excellent quality. It would be worth trawling through the archives to see if you can find the thread. It may be that there are some remaining.

TVR parts ltd did stock them as they also fit the Griff and Chim seats...
Currently out of stock and saying no longer available but worth a call...If not I might enquire into something that may prove productive....Cant promise anything though.

Zig, while back you weren't looking into getting some made in stainless, anything come of it or too complex/expensive?


I bought a couple off... this guy... a while back, weren't cheap then, may be £20 a piece? ( I thought they were new old stock, they weren't, they were second hand) but when I let on I was buying them for a TVR the price shot up few days later!

Yeas I was looking into it...In fact he never got back to me and still has one of mine...He moved to Norfolk from South London...and no longer is on the number I have...

I was thinking 3D printing as I have a friend who might be able to make them...I will ask and see what the coo is.....
