Truly blown away by this machine after picking it up today...I run a Mondeo 2.5t Titanium X as my daily motorway we and wanted a fun, lightweight weekend toy. Got a Suzuki Ignis Sport last year but way too rough and ready for me! Much research later and the Clio gets universal praise from auto journo's and punters alike so I set about finding a good one in the ocean of chavved up lowered and loud nonsense...The motor I found is 16 years old with 109k on it and I paid £2k for it...Sounds crazy, but the 50 page folder of history and full build/mod thread on the cliosport forum by the previous owner who is a mod on there and mechanic by trade showed a real love and attention to detail...Suspension wise, it's basically a new car that's been polybushed all over together with clutch, gearbox, exhaust and brakes enhancements too...
This afternoon was spent getting to know it in all sorts of crazy conditions around the Harry Metcalfe Triangle/Cotswolds B roads and it blew my mind with it's breadth of abilities. I have no idea just yet where it's limit's are...Back in the day I had a 205 GTI and the comparisons are very well justified. The only mod i'll be making is to fit a 330mm steering wheel to replace the standard dustbin lid.
Cannot wait to get it out on some dry tarmac up in the Dales where I live...

Fun cars!

Many years ago I had a Civic Type R and a friend had one of these and we used to go on runs together and I was always impressed by the little cars talents and turn of speed!

It looks like you’ve got a good one at a very reasonable price!
