Hiring an airfield

Find out who owns it.. give em a call.

Simple as that really.

Give Bruntingthorpe a call, something like £50 per hour per car or £5,000 for the whole day.

sounds good, what about the disused RAF or equivalent bases - i've seen loads up this part of the country just begging to be hired out to play with! do you just call up the raf or someone?

That will depend on what bases are near you, any which are even remotely active will probably be a no-go.

One of my local ones is off-limits because it's one of the rural airfields cleared to accept an emergency landing from a civil plane, a military transport or a space shuttle (!), so it must be kept clear of everything except aviators.

Bovingdon! Not used for much other than car boot sales these days. Should be borrowing it again some time this year.

Big problems at Bovingdon with noise complaints from residents so its off limits at the mo.

Sandtoft(?) was used for farming some years ago.

It was frequently deserted and great for a spot of Tuff Noodling with plenty of space to spin off.

All was well until some bloke took his learner daughter round in the opposite direction....

I might be wrong, but I think he filled his pants....
