Should Ted remove the bouncing smilie?

The Times said:
In just five years, there was a fourfold increase in the number of under-15s needing hospital treatment for fractured bones, cracked heads and dislocated limbs caused by trampolines.

I fractured my arm on a tramponline while I was under 10.
All cause of that damned smiley.

If any smilie should be banned it is , quite how they managed to get so much emotion into so few pixels is astonishing. It both amazes and angers me.

Please don't ban the little guy as he is my favorite, I've even seen PetrolTed use him.

Forget banning the smiley... what about all those poor people unable to manage basic bodily funtions now because they've laughed their @rses off? Or the embarrassment caused by rolling on the floor whilst p!ssing yourself laughing?

Surely these are much more common occurrences and, as such, should receive urgent attention?

The problem with rolleyes is that you can use it to attempt to convey many emotions and it will almost certaintly be misinterpreted.
