The original bike-engined small volume car. I remember Top Gear doing a quite extensive report on it many years ago. I'm pretty sure I have it on a VCR tape somewhere. Now if I can just get my MPEG encoder card working......

I saw a repeat of Top Gear GTI last night with a mancunian driving it, it seemed the madcap sort of thing I need/want. I did however want more user info than a TV commentators views.......

Why not go the whole hog and try an Ariel Atom as well... I can highly recommend them - and they have always had four wheels, too!

Hardly the original Jon, without any research I can name two formerly built within 3 miles of Gnomehall, extend it across the globe and it goes up to 20, with reseach many many more.

My brother lives in Bewdley where the Scorpion is hatched and there are very often Scorpions parked in his road, they are very impressive, beautifully made and indecently fast. Roger Cook TV investigator and famed pie eater has/had one, he was smitten.

Sorry, I should have qualified that better! I meant of the modern raft of track day tools. I know that the Messchersmitt (sp?) bubble cars were bike engined, as were any number of post-war economy cars.

I think its fair to say the the Scorpion is amongst the first of the modern bike-engined performance cars, surely?

I'm sure its not the first time that someone has had cause to smite him.
