Arena Red wasn’t available on the 964.
As Oliver says, it’s Amethyst.
Strange colour, can look to have a hint of brown to it, but in the right, bright light, it looks stunning.

It isn't Amethyst - that has a more purple hue. I believe it is Garnet Red

Assuming it is an original RS in a factory colour, it is Amethyst. Certainly looks like it.

Definitely Amethyst, but the lighting in the workshop isn't helping it. One of the less common RS colours, which can look a pretty drab burgundy in some lights, but also a vivid purple in others.
It's a bit of a Marmite colour, but personally I think it suits the car well, in an understated sort of way.

ha, all the ex 964 RS owners coming out of the woodwork now, with extensive colour palate knowledge. certainly miss my old car and that was boring old black. some wonderful colour choices back then, really struggled when I ordered my latest GT3 as the standard choices (no PTS on UK orders alas) were so limited. where's monkey bum pink (rubystone) these days ?!

Defo amethyst. And yes, I'm an ex RS owner. When I saw the title I was rather hoping for monkey bum pink, just so that I could post "monkey bum pink".

Ooooh, yes, we can play "guess whose car it used to be" ! Could be Tim Raven's ? I know the cage has been removes from that car. That said the fact it's on 18" split-rims makes me think it might be the German car that was supercharged that MCP was trying to sell for about 10 years.

Anyone else ????
