What the correct procedure for bump starting, in relation to the immobiliser button on the key? I've tried bumping it with the button depressed/not depressed but can't get it started. Don't have jump leads with me.....

Disable the immobiliser so the light isn't flashing then make sure you try and start it (i.e. turn the engine) before it kicks in again.

If it's taking longer than 30 seconds or whatever to get it moving fast enough, start the car moving with it in second and the clutch pedal in, disable immobilser when moving enough and release the clutch.

Cheers, but I've got a new battery now, jump started it off that and will be fitting it tonight. The one in the car was the original (3 years old) and do about due a replacement.
