I appreciate that it doesn’t have some of the more desirable options but the spec is fine for what I’m after but it does seem a little expensive given the specification. Is that fair? What would be a reasonable price or is £61k about right?

My only other slight concern is the service intervals. It was first registered in 05/12 and serviced in 06/14 but not again until 07/17. I feel the next service should be May 2018 to get back to the 2 year intervals so do you think that’s a reasonable request to have that included or heavily discounted.

Thanks for your help.

I bought this one last summer for £62k and it came with new rear tyres and they carried out a major service too. Based on that id have said your car seems on the high side given the spec and the miles. Ive painted my wheels since then too, just didn't suit the car in black.

As part of the Porsche charter they will service the car if it is due within 3 months. One thing I would haggle for is a satnav update so that it takes a full postcode rather than just the first 4 digits which is a pain.

A porsche warranty is good though, bumper to bumper and in my experience they don't haggle, in fact they go above and beyond reasonable expectation.

If it meets your requirements and you want to but through a main dealer, go for it and enjoy.

Fwiw: In bought one a year ago from an OPC with a similar spec but plus sports chrono (which for me is essential), on a 62 plate, 5800 miles, 3 years warranty.. for £68k.

Thank you both for your thoughts.

I didn’t know about the Sat Nav limitation and discovering it will cost £300 for the update a few days after buying would have been a kick in the teeth!

As for negotiating, am I more likely to get something like sports chrono or pse retro-fitted than getting a £discount of the price?

Forget the retrofit, just enjoy the hunt and find the car of your dreams, its as much fun as the ownership experience.

That car has been for sale for a while now and the price has been reduced several times,

I'd say the lack of sport chrono and the slighly above average miles (for a porsche) are probably doing it no favours

looks an ok car and compared to whats available the price seems in line with others

If insisting that the satnav and service schedule are up to date and for anyone happy with the spec and mileage,
considering how long they've had it for sale I'd say an offer of around 60K should see them shaking hands.

I think £60k, Sat Nav update and service seems like a good plan. I think some chrome -plated stainless steel exhaust pipes would really lift the look of it so will also see if they might include those too. The tyre treads are as follows:

Front left outer 5mm middle 6mm inner 5mm
Front right outer 6mm middle 5mm inner 4mm
Rear left outer 6mm middle 5mm inner 4mm
Rear right outer 6mm middle 5mm inner 5mm

Acceptable?

I'd check the manufacturing date of the tyres before accepting. Not unheard of for OPC's to sell cars with old hard tyres on.
