I dropped off my 2017 Mustang GT for its first service this week at the dealer service station and then picked up the car in the evening, with some trepidation on what sort of costs were going to be involved.

Whilst having done my research before purchase, i always take the quoted costs with a good "bag" of Salt, especially down here in the South of France where everything has a premium added, just for good measure!

I have been previously paying servicing costs on Porsche's and Ferarri's, so I had to ask if the bill was correct and they had not missed anything, when i received it at less than Euro 250:00 (3,000 Km driven).

If the servicing costs stay at those levels i will be very happy. So far in the first seven months of ownership this has been the only outgoing on the car outside of toys, insurance etc.

Well, first service is just oil, filter, and completion of a checklist (at least mine was) so it should be reasonable.
And you are probably paying the same labour rate as you would for a Fiesta, so if you are used to Ferrari or Porsche dealer rates, Ford should be cheaper!

I have done 8000 miles in a year, and mine too has needed nothing but that first service. Happy days!

I've had a couple of oil changes at friendly garages for around £150.

With my first service they did the air filters as well, probably as we get allot of sand in the air blown over the med from the Sahara.

Just had my first year service at a very agreeable £195 from Ford Basingstoke. Excellent service and very happy with the price.
