Bmw specialists near ketteringi or Peterborough
Discussion
Hi all,
I know there is a sticky thread on a similar topic but the nearest place is Northampton in the list and I don’t know how upto date it is.
I live near Kettering and Work in Peterborough and am looking for someone to look after my e36, I know it isn’t the most specialist car but I would like to have a garage for diagnosing issues.
Thanks in advance.

My dad and I have both used Bartlett quite a bit, as well as their new place in Peterborough, they have relocated to a new place in Huntingdon. We went to the opening and its quite an impressive facility.
One thing to watch though is that they are quite sharp on advising on things that might not need to be done straight away.

Hi,
I'm in Corby, I've used a place in Lutterworth (30 mins up the A14\M1) called Auto Technik, very nice and friendly to deal with but as mentioned above they are keen to point out "advisory" stuff that "needs" attention".
There are a couple of places in Northampton, Auto Barn(so Merc\VW) and Mtek (BMW), only used Mtek was only a small thing but they sorted me out at short notice.

Bartletts have a good reputation round here, but they charge £90+Vat per hour so not the cheapest, at least they did when I last asked. One thing to watch though is that they are quite sharp on advising on things that might not need to be done straight away.
I suppose you get what you pay for, the business was set up by experienced BMW technicians when Murketts gave up the BMW franchise.
They're normally pretty busy so that's a good sign.

Unfortunately they weren't willing to do a modification known as a CDV delete to my car. I can understand why as they follow standards etc. but the modification is supposed to reduce clutch wear if anything rather than increase it, as the owner Damian thought.I suppose you get what you pay for, the business was set up by experienced BMW technicians when Murketts gave up the BMW franchise.

Each to their own.. have found another local garage that will be doing it instead.
