London To Brighton Bike Ride 2005

Hi All,

A few work colleagues and myself are doing the London to Brighton Bike Ride on the 19th June 2005.

We are trying to get more money for this worthy cause this year, so if you are feeling generous would you mind sponsoring us a couple of pounds??

You don't know me or my work colleagues (as far as I know) but you all know The British Heart Foundation and the good work they do.

Sponsoring 2 already, but best of luck.
Ridden it myself on 3 occasions - best time about 2 1/2 hours, would have been better if it weren't for all the bottlenecks.
Hardest part is the ride up Ditchling Beacon - b*stard climb... The trip down the other side is good though.

I did the first three back in the early '80s but then it got too huge -- too many bikes around me, too much policing and monitoring required, and it changed character.

I know but at least it only once a year! I used to live by Selhurst Park Crystal Palace FC ground, now thats a pain in the but!! Every Sat and wednesday you can't go out!

Not sure to be honest, they don't give the route out until you get to the start) but if we do, I'll look out for the brew! Can I have some biccies aswell!

If you are having a look as we go by, We will be wearing white Groupama Insurance T-Shirts, abit like looking for a Focus on the M25

Even worse if you are shunting trailers all day from Hackbridge to Croydon i.e right across the route. I promise to be careful if you will!!
