It's at the Airport which is called Birmingham International Airport (sorry if your question was supposed to be sarcasm).

Birmingham airport used to be Birmingham International Airport. And yet another Birmingham station might be confusing smile

Admittedly I didn't realise it was at an airport, but even so, that hardly makes the train station international. Why not Birmingham Airport Rail Station?

Does rather smack of ideas above its station! (D'ya see what I did there..?)

I didn't know they'd dropped International from the airport name.

Wonder why as that seems like it's kind of admitting you're not quite what you thought you were confused

Birmingham International
Birmingham Moor Street
Birmingham Snow Hill
Birmingham New Street

The station was named in the 70's when the Airport was called International.

If you go there ( it's very handy for the NEC ) you will see a good cross-section of people from all over the World. smile

It's fair to call it International.

If you're travelling from BHX, get the taxi/chum to drop you at the International Railway station (20 minutes free parking) then get the (free) monorail to the airport. You save the £2 they rook you for at the drop-off at the airport.

One morning I was stuck @ Schiphol, unable to fly. I thought this is going to be a nightmare, wander downstairs to the railway station. "Two tickets to Birmingham International please" an earnest young fella stabbed at a few keys, looked up and said "ok" it was cheaper than KLM too.

Back in Solihull just after lunch.

Don't open that can of worms ,everyone's favourite "expert poster" said that Southend airport is in London ,because of the name.

FYI 42 miles away....smile

FYI....for Yipper's information.

Well, 10 minutes isn't worth £2 if you ask me.
