Is my clutch going (Audi S3)?
Discussion
I noticed some time after I bought the car that gear changes were difficult/scrappy and did what I could to remedy that. Now I've sorted the actual gear changes out (short shifter/clutch bleed valve), I feel I may also have clutch problems. When changing gears (3/4th and above usually) at higher revs, the revs will just hang for 5-10 seconds and the car doesn't feel as though it's accelerating. I thought clutch slip, but doesn't that make the revs climb after changing gear? The car has 25k miles but I've become aware that the clutch on these cars is a weak point with some owners reporting problems at even lower mileages.
It's perfectly driveable other than the above symptom (and the clutch bite is a bit awkwardly high) but if it's starting to go I'll get it replaced, if not I'd not want to spend the money unnecessarily.

Yes on this platform the clutch is very poor. On my Golf R Mk7 which is the same powertrain as the S3 8V, I had to get the clutch replaced under warranty at 9,000 miles and I always drive the car with mechanical sympathy. I would get it replaced as unfortunately when a clutch starts to slip it's life rapidly deteriorates anyway. You may be able to claim under Audi warranty.
