As per title - see lots of people fixing the inner edge, none however mentioning the outer locating tab (the 'U' bracket).

Given I've not got the missing bit of plastic (no idea when it broke, only noticed it as I noticed the light wobble when missus drove my car off the drive) my choices are either:

1) Come up with something as a fix
2) Replace it with an OEM light (eye watering money, even for second hand ones....)
3) Use this as an excuse to treat myself to two new LED taillights at half the price of OEM, then sell the remaining good light on the bay of e.

I'm going to give it a crack with some scrap material and plasti bond, but if that fails (and I'm not hugely confident).... any recommendation on LED lights? there are a few designs floating around....

If its a narrow body face lift rear left light then I have two spares in the garage I could offer you which are in good and undamaged condition.

It is indeed a 996.2 ... although in classic "me" timing I pushed go on a set of dentane lights this morning (figured christmas present to self!).

Thanks for the offer though!
