Discussion
A lovely project 105.3 Alfa at Bonham's... Will be interesting to see how it does...
What do the pistonhead boffs think?

I guess from here https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/alfa_romeo_g...
I wouldn't say it's over priced, average/good ones seem to sell in mid 30's, car is running and if you wanted to look like all the other Alfa's would need lowering, new grill and retrim the interior wouldn't take much work at all...
Concourse cars fetch 80-90k and if you're building a concourse car you would be changing all that plus dumping another £40k into a proper nut and bolt resto...
I think this car will make mid teens and will still be a bargain IMHO

It all depends on what it looks like underneath!
For what it's worth, here's mine with her trackday younger brother - my GTJ which was imported from Jersey or one of the channel islands in 1977 and therefore will not show up in the correct date range on your weblink.

Seem to sell, or actually sell?.......... Concourse cars fetch 80-90k
Are you sure that you're not just looking at a few bullish asking prices for LHD 1300 GT Juniors?

I would assume so. You can always ask, but a good, unmolested stepnose LHD 1300 Junior would be around 30k euros in my eyes (in a LHD country). Are you sure that you're not just looking at a few bullish asking prices for LHD 1300 GT Juniors?
As stated, all depends on the condition of the floor and sills. If those are fine, the estimate might be in the right region. Though looking at the general condition and non-original parts, I think it could very well be a let down. Just my opinion off course and just from looking at some pictures.
Well with my little knowledge of them I would say it’s certainly worth more than the top bid . Like all auctions you need the right people who know it’s going to be there on the day . Seemed quite a few didn’t reach reserve, possibly a day when the buyers just weren’t there.
Might be worth getting advice from a few of the Alfa restoration specialists on its value and they may even know someone who wants one .
Best of luck finding a new home for it

Love PH sometimes,
OP asks for opinion, man with experience of said cars offers opinion. OP then gets in a huff

Guttered it didn't sell... Will be now trying privately
Then OP posts the above which leads me to believe it's his car and he was fishing for bidders on a car which looks like it needs a shed load of workFast Bug said:

Much more 'exposed' here
