+2. Just make sure you get an iPad with a GPS in it to run it on. One of my Pitts co-owners bought a shiny new iPad mini and Sky Demon, and managed to get from Waltham to Lydd before he realised he was trying to run it on a non-GPS iPad.

I have suspicions that his previous GPS unit was in fact a Garmin Fish-Finder, which might explain some of his other navigational howlers....

Another stocking filler for a 182 owner might be a spirit level, and the advice to never park with the wings down-slope at Glenforsa without forgetting to turn the fuel selector to 'off' before heading off to the bar, lest you return in the morning to find a shedload of avgas has gone overboard, overnight.

That was the Waltham 182 of James May Top Gear fame - sadly written off by someone apparently unfamiliar with the vagaries of 182 handling in the flare...
