t-holes!) - just amuse myself at home now with a looper and effects pedals.15 years in pub/events bands, pop and rock. Currently occupying guitar seat in a 24 piece big band playing swing era jazz and modern classics, which has been a real learning experience.
Also occasional acoustic duo gigs with original material.
Can’t imagine not gigging in some fashion, even if only once in a while, until utterly incapable 🙂

Studied Popular Music Performance in London about 15 years ago. Did a bit of session work when I finished the course but didn't particularly enjoy it.
Spent a few years playing the role of struggling musician in a band with friends. Lived out of the back of a transit while we drove up and down the country playing various small bars and venues in most of the major cities in England, Scotland and Wales. We eventually split because our personalities clashed.
Stopped playing for a few years due to personal and family reasons. Finally started again 4 years ago when some old friends got in touch needing a drummer. It's very informal, we get together only a few times a year and play ska and punk covers of pop songs with a pirate theme. I've never had so much fun on stage.

I play in a covers band that gets the odd gig. We do weddings, big parties, that sort of thing. Biggest one was at the BIC (Bournemouth) for a big company Christmas do, where around 1700 people were present. I turned up to soundcheck and thought I'd be able to finally turn my Marshall up a bit for this gig and was immediately asked to turn it down by a sound engineer who was setting the levels with an iPad.
I started gigging again five years ago after a twenty year hiatus, now in a five piece covers band doing classic rock.
We play locally but gigs are tougher to get than the old days as so many venues close down.
Theres no chance of earning a living at it around here anymore but as a paying hobby its great fun.

Been out and gigging for the last 25 years or so, playing tenor and alto sax. The current band is a 5 piece covers band, playing mainly funk and soul, which is what I love. A has been said, it doesn't make you rich, but it is definitely great fun and at times it is so rewarding to see the crowd enjoying it. Not much can touch it really in my opinion.
Used to be in a band. Got to go around the country. Occasionally made money from it (Merch sales. Music sales are a dreadful thing to make money off of). Released an EP, got played on the Radio (BBC Introducing etc.), Signed with Management, Stopped doing it. Starting something new in a few months, rinse and repeat.
Yes.....sitting in a theatre pit as we speak on a long tech session......hence why I’m looking on PH.

Oh yes......I think the front pic on the website is EMI studio on a film session....all the albums on the website, Sochi Winter Olympics etc all recorded in London.....as we have best sight reading players in the world ! Regular visitor to Air & Angel, but EMI has London Pride on draught !

Ha! I remember EMI when it was all trees. 
Just booking either Air 1 or Angel 1 for early March (dates/cost dependent - Angel on hold)... SO much better than that rubbish Abbey Rd place.
